Who will be considered a self-employed person?
A self-employed person shall not be employed and shall make income from his/her self-employment work.

Once the immigration officer has been satisfied that you are a self-employed person, your application will be assessed based on five factors:
- Education → maximum of 25 points
- Experience → maximum of 35 points
- Age → maximum of 10 points
- English or French Language Proficiency → maximum of 24 points
- Adaptibility → maximum of 6 points
Applicants must earn a minimum of 35 points to be considered.
Although there is no net worth requirement, having sufficient funds to ensure your settlement in Canada would make your application stronger. You should have the necessary funds for starting your self-employment business in Canada.
Also, there is no language requirement but having a language test result would improve your chances.
